It’s happening. We are on the premise of June which means only one thing, Spritz Season!

Even writing this recipe I have ignited a core memory. Let me set the scene, it’s late summer, late afternoon in New York City. It’s pre-pandemic and my girlfriends and I have just finished navigating our way through Little Italy at the San Gennaro Festival. We’ve eaten until our hearts content but are still enjoying the beautiful weather in New York City.

We make what’s almost one final stop at a quaint street eatery and order Aperol Spritz’s all around. Wine glasses in hand we toast to the end of summer, friendship and at least one of us trying to eat the orange slice.
