This recipe was created by Bailey for Peanut Butter Dog Treats.
From birthday parties to spa days our household has no shortage of puppy pampering for our Goldendoodle, Theo. After all, he is our best friend! This recipe was created by Bailey. She’s been baking a cooking up a storm most days in-between virtual school classes.
Theo ate these right up! He couldn’t stop trying to get the treats and ingredients while she made them. He snuck in a few licks reaching the tops of the counters now. He knows he will get caught red handed so he has to be quick!
These Peanut Butter Dog Treats are super simple to make and just like baking any other type of cookie you would normally make. Edible by humans, but really for the dogs in our life!
For the recipe, the dough will be rolled out so you can use whatever shape you’d like or have on hand. For Bailey’s version, she used a star cookie cutter. We also loved this bone shaped cutter here for your pup! She will also use the silicone molds to make frozen dog treats!
What kind of Peanut Butter Should I Use?
For this recipe, Bailey used chunky peanut butter. You can rarely find creamy peanut butter in our house. Either crunchy or creamy peanut butter will do. Theo enjoys both! Does your dog have a preference? Dogs are funny in their tastes!
PS are you a Skippy or JIF person? Yes yes natural is good and all but we really love these two brands. Especially Theo!
How do I store the dog treats?
The peanut butter dog treats can be easily stored for up to a week in a sealed container or zip lock bag. But who are we kidding?! You know your pop will eat them any way. You can also keep a batch fresh and freeze a batch.
Just be sure not to leave them anywhere your dog can get them! Otherwise you know those treats will be opened and gone in a second.
