One of the things on my ‘2019 Make Better List’ in the beauty department came to my smile. Having a great smile is key to confidence but as a working mom of 2…I’m usually a 2 coffee cup a day kinda girl. And while I LOVE a warm and comforting cup of coffee, my smile doesn’t. I was thrilled when Rittenhouse Dentists reached out to me to partner. I had already heard wonderful things about Rittenhouse Dentists and went in for my own experience.
Even before I got there, the all women group at Rittenhouse Dentists helped direct me on a short ride from Philly out to Bryn Mawr (They do have a Center City location as well!) Right away I could tell this wasn’t your average dentist from the warm welcome and beautifully decorated reception area. It’s all about the little things for me and I loved how they had CURRENT issues of all the latest magazines while I wait and beautifully wrapped little chocolates. I was promptly greeted by Jamie who would be conducting my Zoom Whitening Treatment.
Jamie was so nice and put up with ALL of my concerns and questions. I wanted to brighten my smile a few shades and remove any staining from coffee but also not be too bright. You know what I mean, you’ve seen people glow in the dark when they smile! Jamie assured me that wouldn’t happen, ha. She even shared with me a major key tip, Colgate Optic Whitening Tooth Paste is the best at home toothpaste she recommends!
Doctor Abdulla founded Rittenhouse Dentists in 2011 looking to provide a remarkable experience for her clients. She was not only an expert in her field and so kind in welcoming me into her practice, but had a beautiful smile as well!
Rittenhouse Dentists was well equipped to ensure each client receives the best treatment with comfort in mind. The treatment would be broken down into 3 15 minute increments. Fifteen minutes can see like a long time so to make you feel at ease and to pass the time, Rittenhouse offers Netflix Goggles! The googles were super cool and allowed me to kick back and watch one of my favorite all time shows, Friends. I hope no one noticed me giggling at Chandler Bing while I was getting my treatment done. They also offered me a luscious hand wax paraffin to make my hands super soft during these cold winter months.
So here’s how the treatment works! The dentist will prep your mouth for whitening and apply a layer of advanced whitening gel to your teeth. To speed up the whitening process, they will then shine the blue LED lamp on your teeth. This makes the whitening process go as fast as possible while adjusting it to ensure you’ll receive a comfortable experience. For me, we did this 3 times to achieve the level of brightness we wanted. Typically the treatment is completed in 3-4 sessions. After the last session is completed, your dentist at Rittenhouse will apply post treatment gel to help protect enamel and reduce sensitivity.
I experienced very little sensitivity but each person is different. I can ensure you it’s completely painless 🙂 But if you are prone to sensitivity, the dentists at Rittenhouse will guide you in taking Ibuprofen.
Within an hour I had a brighter smile and some new friends at Rittenhouse Dentists that totally got it. I will absolutely be returning to Rittenhouse for my routine dental care as well as any cosmetic updates needed to my smile along the way. The entire whitening visit takes about 90 minutes and costs $495. One of the best investments you can make, is in your smile.
