Apple Roses

- 2 Apples
- 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
- Strawberry or favorite fruit preserves
- Water
- Cinnamon and Sugar
- Premade Pie Crust
- Leaving the peel on, core and slice apples into extremely thin strips. Slice as thin as possible.
- Place apples in a shallow dish and fill the bottom to about ½ inch water and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Set aside.
- Place apples in microwave for about 3 minutes until warm and apple strips are flexible to work with.
- In a small dish mix 3 tablespoons of preserves with 1 teaspoon warm water. Mix well.
- Roll out the pie crust into a rectangle about 6-8 inches long.
- Cut crust into 3 inch wide strips.
- Take one strip at a time and using the back of a spoon spread out the preserves mixture.
- Layer the apples horizontally across the crust.
- Fold the bottom portion of the crust up and press with fingers to "seal".
- Roll up crust with apples coming out of the top tightly so it looks like a rose.
- Place each rolled rose into a greased muffin pan.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to taste.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 14-17 minutes until crust is golden.
- Serve with whip or al la mode and enjoy a beautiful treat!
